Smoothies are a great breakfast option for on-the-go days and what I typically reach for on weekday mornings. I throw everything in the blender and then I’m out the door.
Another great thing about smoothies is changing up the ingredients so you don’t tire of the same one, although there are some I love on repeat. Below are a few of my favorite recipes and links to the protein powders I use.
Tips when making smoothies:
- I put spinach in all of my smoothie recipes. It doesn’t alter the taste and adds calcium and vitamins!
- Use frozen bananas to add sweetness and a creamy texture to your smoothies.
- I always try to add either chia seeds, ground flax seed or hemp hearts for added fiber, protein and nutrients.

Green Matcha Vanilla Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 cups Almond Milk (or your choice of milk)
- 2 tsp. green matcha powder (I use this one)
- Handful of spinach
- 1/2 a banana or 1 date for sweetness
- 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (or recommended serving size)
- 1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- a few ice cubes
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients in the blender and blend for 1 minute.
Blueberry Spinach Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 cups almond milk (or preferred milk)
- 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (recommended serving size)
- 1 cup of blueberries
- large handful of spinach
- 1/2 banana or date for sweetness (optional)
- 1 Tbsp hemp hearts
- 1 Tbsp ground flax seed
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients in the blender and blend for 1 minute.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 cups almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
- Large handful of spinach
- 1/2 banana
- 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter Powder
- 3 ice cubes
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend for 1 minute.

Pear & Almond Butter Smoothie
This recipe is DELICIOUS. I found it on Pinterest years ago and is one of my favs!
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup of almond milk
- 1/2 Pear
- 1/2 banana
- Large handful of spinach
- 1 Tbsp of almond butter
- 1 Tbsp ground flax seed (optional)
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend for 1 minute.
